Nannies & Babysitters on Koh Samui

Most parents arrive on Samui hoping for at least one quiet evening out. Almost all of them ask us where to find a sitter. Here is the honest answer.

How we source sitters

We work with three local nanny agencies that have looked after our own family villas for years, plus a handful of independent sitters who have been with us long enough that we know their families. We do not run our own nanny school — we are not pretending to. We are simply the introduction layer.

What you can ask us to book

• Daytime nanny — typically four to eight hours, pool play, beach trip, lunch supervision.
• Evening sitter — usually 6pm to midnight so you can have dinner without rushing.
• Multi-day rotation — useful for couples who want quiet mornings together; one sitter does breakfast and pool, a different one covers afternoons.
• Late-night cover — rare but available; we ask for 24 hours notice and prefer overnight cover from a sitter you've already met that week.

What it costs

Rates shift twice a year and depend on the language requested, the time of day, the agency, and how many children. Contact our concierge for a quote against your dates — we'd rather give you the right number than print a stale one here. As a guide, expect daytime rates to be modest by European standards and evening rates a little higher.

What we always tell new parents

• Meet the sitter for 30 minutes before you leave the villa. Coffee in the kitchen. See how your child reacts.
• Write down the villa's exact pin location and our WhatsApp number on the fridge.
• If your child has any allergies or routines, write them down too — language can blur at 8pm.
• Plan the first sitting session at home, not out. It builds trust on both sides.
