Koh Samui with Kids — Done Properly

Honest, practical guidance for families planning a Koh Samui holiday. From which villa to pick to where the hospital is at 2am — everything we wish more guests knew before they arrived.

We host hundreds of families on Samui every year. Toddlers, school-age kids, multi-generation reunions. Some are first-time visitors to Asia. Some have been coming back for a decade. This hub gathers what we tell them, in writing.

We do not do remote check-in. Someone from our team meets you at the villa, hands over the keys, walks you through the pool, the kitchen, and the WiFi. With kids, that matters — you want to know who is on the other end of the phone if something goes wrong at 11pm.

What you can expect from us as a family

  • In-person welcome. No lockbox handovers. Someone from our team meets you, walks the property, points out the pool depth, the rooftop access, the steep stairs.
  • Pre-arrival shop. Tell us what your kids drink, eat, and snack on — we'll fill the fridge before you land. Free welcome pack on stays of 7+ nights; small grocery shops billed at cost.
  • 24/7 reachable. WhatsApp +66 81 515 4578. A real person on Samui, not a global call centre.
  • Vetted sitters. We work with three local nanny agencies we've used personally — see the Nannies page.
  • Hospital briefing. Every check-in includes a printed sheet with the nearest hospital's address and phone — we use Bandon, Bangkok Hospital Samui and Thai International most often.
  • Quiet pool zones. We can request villas where the pool isn't infinity-edge or has a child rail. Tell us at booking.

Talk to us before you book

If you're travelling with a 2-year-old, a wheelchair user, or six adults and three kids, we'll suggest the right two or three villas rather than send you a long list. WhatsApp us with your dates.
